Motor does not work?

Please check assembly and make sure that nothing is blocking the motor. Sometimes, a spindle or other piece blocks the motor and it may seem like the motor is not working. - R+ Design 2.0(Windows / Android / iOS) is recommended for interactive assembly.

Faulty power switch on the CM-20

CM-20 is broken. Please replace the broken CM-20 with a new controller.

Battery case is difficult to open on CM-20

Apply firm and evenly distributed pressure near the center of the battery cover and press outward in the direction that the arrows are pointing.

What is the difference between Sets and Levels?

Set A combines Level 1 and 2 while Set B combines Level 3 and 4. Set A and B include assembly manuals for (4) robots each. You will need R+Design 2.0 to build all example robots. Additionally, sets do not contain workbooks so these must be purchased separately. Workbook purchase link Level 1 is the base kit and Level 2, 3 and 4 are expansion kits. The previous kit(s) are needed as you progress up a level.

Can I purchase specific parts separately?

Where can I download example programs?

How can I program my DREAM?

You can use RoboPlus Task or R+Task 2.0(Windows / Android / iOS). It is recommended to use R+Task 2.0 because you can also directly download the examples within the software instead of visiting e-manual for examples.

How can I update or recover CM-150 firmware?

You can use R+Manager 2.0 with micro USB or BT-210.

It is difficult to assemble the robot.

How can I program my MINI?

Please use OpenCM IDE in order to program the ROBOTIS-MINI.

It is recommended to use R+Task 2.0(Windows / Android + BT-210 or BT-410) because you can also directly download the examples within the software instead of visiting e-Manaul for examples.

WARNING : if you use the OpenCM IDE, you will delete the RoboPlus firmware that is on the OpenCM9.04. Therefore, you will need to recover the OpenCM9.04’s firmware in order to use your robot with RoboPlus again.

How can I control MINI with ROBOTIS MINI app?

  1. Please download ROBOTIS MINI app (Android + BT-210 or BT-410 / iOS + BT-410)
  2. Pair BT-210 to PC. Default pin is 0000. (Link)
  3. Download example with LN-101 or BT-210.
  4. Run ROBOTIS MINI app.
  5. Pair BT-210 to smart device. Default pin is 0000. Enter the last 2 alphanumeric digits on BT-210 to detect robot.

How can I control MINI with iOS?

The ROBOTIS MINI comes with the BT-210. BT-410 is required to connect with iOS devices.

What is the difference between BT-210 and BT-410?

BT-210 supports Android devices with Bluetooth 2.1 or higher and it can be paired with your PC. BT-410 supports Android and iOS devices with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy(BLE) but it cannot be paired with your PC.

The robot falls over when playing examples.

Make sure to perform Motion Offset in the app setting

A smooth, hard surface is recommended for ease of movement with the feet but the user can modify the bottom of the MINI’s feet to improve friction for certain movements.

WARNING : Each ROBOTIS MINI will be assembled to slightly different tolerances therefore the robot will have to be calibrated with these mechanical offsets.

CM-510 / CM-530 is not recognized from my PC.

DYNAMIXEL is not recognized in R+ Manager.

  1. Connect one DYNAMIXEL at a time and make sure that there are no duplicate IDs.
  2. Check DYNAMIXEL cable is properly and securely connected.
  3. Check DYNAMIXEL cable is not damaged.
  4. Confirm DYNAMIXEL baud rate by clicking DYNAMIXEL Search in RoboPlus Manager(R+ 1.0).
  5. Recover firmware in DYNAMIXEL Wizard(included in Roboplus Manager(R+ 1.0)) one DYNAMIXEL at a time with USB2DYNAMIXEL. (Video Tutorial)

If successful, replace the controller’s fuse(Instruction link) and try powering it with the battery once more. If you still cannot power the controller with the battery, please request an RMA

If you cannot power the controller with the battery, try powering it with the SMPS. If unsuccessful, request an RMA. If successful, replace the controller’s fuse(Instruction link) and try powering it with the battery once more. If you still cannot power the controller with the battery, please request an RMA.
